SLOWNESS

Slowness is a caught-in-the-fog drone-pop trio with songs about love and war spinning in a whirlpool of hypnotic rhythms and driving bass lines, layered guitars and rich harmonies. The band released its debut EP "Hopeless but Otherwise" in 2011. After touring the US, the group is back in the studio with producer Monte Vallier, and is scheduled for a short tour of the NE in July 2011, followed by a tour of Japan in December.

HERE COME THE SAVIOURS

Long time friends Jake, Marc and Steve, forever in separate bands (Smiler, The Stratford 4, The Otherside), finally in the same band together. Add an intense and driving drummer… Susan… And that's the love affair… Here Come the Saviours.
Marc and Susan bounce between keyboard bass and analogue drums, electric bass and electronic drums seamlessly, and layers and layers of swirly bent guitar tones emanate from Jake's long time shoegazing roots. Steve's lazy vocal snarl floats melodies over a wall of fuzzy sounds while adding his own angular post punk guitar work. Nothing small about it… it moves you like early MBV, gets dark like Joy Division, and is expressively loud in the best of ways.

2¦FRAIL

Based in San Francisco, this recently-promoted-to-trio plays darkgaze, a genre influenced by shoegaze, post punk and metal. Alongside with the fuzzy music, comes a message about the fall of our so-called industrial society, illustrated by hypnotic video projections.

MOONBEAMS

Moonbeams plays loud psychedelic pop that is influenced equally by indie pop, noise, dream pop, and punk rock. The band recently released their bedroom-recorded debut full-length, "The Daisy Chain," a record which accurately showcases their sound--both recorded and live--one that is introspective and melancholy, yet noisy and raw.
